Putting out a record in times like these was harder than ever, but we believe that as artists our job is to keep creativity flowing and try to make these days more enjoyable, easier to live and it is essential to connect. We truly believe that music, dance, painting and any artistic and creative activity are always a healing process and a place for collaboration and coming together. If there is one thing we all enjoy as humans is art, art will always bring the best of us as individuals, but also as a collective, as a community, while it can also be a cathartic process for self-exploration and group bonding. This compilation represents a lot of these values we stand for. It contains music from dear friends from around the world. It speaks about humans as one race sharing the same passion and similar points of view about life, love and happiness.
Music in this VA compilation comes from different parts of the planet: Hamza Rahimtula is a house music producer from India, owner of Wind Horse Records. Daniel Allen, a Texas maverick, owns Denied Music. Von Krup is a young and upcoming Mexican artist, Rico Casazza is a veteran Italian producer and London resident. Monopolar, a Peruvian Jazz musician and electronic producer living in Mexico City is co - owner of Pantamuzik. Echowoman, a Mexican old school producer living in Berlin, is part of the duo Signal Deluxe and co - owner of Pantamuzik.
The vibe in this VA is leaning towards Breakbeat and Electro with some Deep House and Minimal Techno grooves but a very important factor is that we all are good friends that share a common vision of the underground scene and support each other through our art and music.
We are releasing this VA in Bandcamp as a DIY statement, in a time when commercialism is taking over our precious Electronic Music scene. We want to stay independent from these big corporation practices that lack love, empathy and in many cases artistic value.
For all of us the true spirit of the Rave scene started with a bunch of friends and a sound system in the forest or some abandoned location coming together to dance and share the experience of love and life, there was no money involved, no PR campaigns, no payed promotion, no hype, just the true love of something different, something outside the normal, breaking away from the pack. This is the spirit we want to bring back, this is the essence that we represent, the freak flag we like to fly.
